Is your site up?
Home -- Tracking -- Monitoring Your Site -- Is your site up?
One thing that can kill your internet business is server downtime. You cna always lose a potential customer because of your website being down and unaccessable. I would strongly suggest that if you are going to be doing any kind of business on the internet that you find a reputable hosting service. Also do not use a free hosting service at any time. These almost always have server problems and your load times can be horrendous. These services usually have servers that are overloaded and not made for business purposes.
Another good idea is to get a service that will check your site periodically for to see if it is up and running properly. I use a service called WatchDog. This product will send a "ping" to your site every 15 minutes to see if it is up and running. If the service finds that your site is not working properly, it will send you an e-mail alerting you that your site is down. This can save you valuable lost visitors that will not return to your site because they find it unreliable. Otherwiase you will have to rely on the kindness of someone sending you an e-mail telling you your site is down. Click Here to learn more about the WatchDog service.
